Analog Devices, Inc - Industry's Best Jitter Performance - 7 November 2012

AD9525 RF clock IC - Lowest jitter for communications and instrumentation equipment, requiring high-speed data conversion and optimum SNR performance.

The AD9525 operates over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, is available in a 48-lead LFCSP and can be operated from a single 3.3 V supply. The external VCXO or VCO can have an operating voltage of up to 5.5 V.

  • Achieves absolute broadband rms jitter of 83-fs (1-kHz to 100-MHz offset range), at 245.76 MHz, including jitter contribution from the external VCO
  • Supports up to a 3.6-GHz output speed, nearly 3x faster than competing clocks
  • Includes an output-to-output skew of 25 ps and 8 differential 3.6-GHz LVPECL outputs and 1 LVPECL or 2 CMOS SYNC outputs
